SB 812 -- EXECUTIVE ORDERS

SPONSOR:  Russell (Holand)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Fiscal Review and Government Reform by a vote of 8 to 0.

This bill requires that all executive orders issued after January
1, 2003, be published in the Missouri Register.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that publication of executive orders
in the Missouri Register provides better service for Missouri
citizens.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Russell; and Chris Long.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
